Electrician Training & Qualifications

We offer a great range of nationally recognised electrical courses, taught in a traditional classroom setting as well as an e-learning format. Some of our qualifications are for those who are training to become electrical engineers and others are for those who are qualified practicing electricians and are in need of an update for their skills so that they correspond with current regulations and legislation. Most of our courses are tutor led and there is often also the option of taking the qualification online via e-learning.

Here is a brief list of the electrical courses that we offer:

17th Edition City & Guilds Training

We offer three types of 17th Edition training courses so that you can keep up to date on the IEE Wiring Regulations. This makes it easier for you to find a way to stay on track with the latest regulations. This course is designed for anyone who needs to understand the most recent IEE Wiring Regulations, such as designers, electricians and surveyors.

PAT Testing

You don’t need to have any prior qualifications or experience to take this course and it will teach what you need to know so that you can ensure your electrical equipment is in a safe condition to use. Make sure that you bring a PAT Testing Machine, PAT testing labels and a set of screwdrivers. If you need advice on which machine to bring, contact us.

EAL Part P Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers

The EAL Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers Part P training course is suitable for non-electricians who carry out some electrical work in domestic properties and need a formal qualification before registering to self-certify their work.

City & Guilds 2356-31 Electro Technical NVQ 3

This qualification is often known as the “missing link” which has helped electricians to achieve the sought after ‘Fully Qualified Electrician’ status from the JIB. It is aimed at anyone who is currently working within the electrical industry for at least two years.

City & Guilds 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification

This is one of the most difficult electrical courses for candidates to achieve and it is designed for electricians who want to attain their 2391-10 Inspection and Testing qualification. It is a highly recognised course in the industry which will gain you a very high standard of achievement.

City & Guilds 2391-10 Certificate in Inspection Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

This is a qualification which many electricians aspire to achieve and it is one of the most highly regarded electrical courses in the industry. This is a Level 3 qualification so you must already have the required level of competence in electrical installation.

City & Guilds 2394 Initial Verification Course

Any domestic installers and electricians who are looking to improve their skill set should consider taking this course in order to obtain the professional training you need to be able to perform inspection and verification on new installations, including phase 3 installations.

City & Guilds 2395 Inspection and Testing

These electrical courses will increase your earning potential as it will provide you with the right skills and qualifications to test and inspect both domestic and commercial settings. You will also lean about health and safety, working with clients and more.

City & Guilds Electrical Design Course 2396

This course allows you to gain a level 4 qualification, so that you will be able to design and erect an electrical installation, taking in factors such as the surrounding environment, suitability and management.
